The Avernoza® Cipher Modular Puzzle Board transforms food-based enrichment into a tactile object designed to remain comfortably visible in the home.

Eight concealed food wells are distributed beneath a coordinated arrangement of rotating discs, sliding covers and liftable pegs. Instead of accessing every reward from one open surface, the cat must investigate individual modules using its paws, nose and natural persistence.

The puzzle can be simplified for first-time users or arranged into a more involved sequence for experienced cats. Modules are generously spaced and shaped without narrow exposed crevices, helping make interaction and cleaning more manageable.

Two Warm Ivory ceramic discs rotate within recessed sections of the pale ash board. Deep Sage composite sliders move horizontally to uncover selected wells, while three rounded pegs can be lifted or nudged aside.

The Avernoza crest appears once on the front edge. It is carved directly into the ash as a permanent, same-material relief rather than being printed, painted or attached as a separate badge.

THREE WAYS TO INTRODUCE CIPHER

Beginner:

Leave several wells uncovered and place rewards close to the edges. Remove one or two pegs so the cat can easily understand that investigating the board reveals food.

Intermediate:

Cover selected wells with the sliding modules and partially rotate the ceramic discs. Allow the cat to solve one movement at a time.

Advanced:

Use all components and distribute small rewards across different sections. Change the position of the modules between sessions to prevent the pattern from becoming completely predictable.

CLEANING AND CARE

Remove all remaining food after each session.

Lift out removable components and wash them according to the final production instructions. Wipe the wooden board with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately.

Do not soak the ash base or place it in a dishwasher. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals and prolonged exposure to moisture.

Inspect all modules regularly and discontinue use if any component becomes cracked, loose or significantly damaged.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Cipher is an enrichment toy, not a complete feeding system.

Use small quantities of food appropriate for your cat’s normal diet. Food used in the puzzle should be included when calculating the cat’s daily intake.

The board is intended for supervised use. It is not designed as a chew toy or for wet, sticky or refrigerated food.
